Several Hundred Attend Wolf Furniture’s Ribbon Cutting

BELLWOOD, PA - Representatives from furniture manufacturers, area dignitaries, and the local media were included in a nice turnout for Wolf Furniture’s open house and ribbon cutting ceremony on January 14thth in Chambersburg, PA. Despite the wintery weather, several hundred guests showed up to see the new, 28,000 sq. ft. Wolf Furniture showroom, on Gateway Avenue, formerly Harmons Furniture. Main Street Deli of Chambersburg served hors d’oeuvres while Wolf’s guests mingled among the beautifully decorated room settings in the newly remodeled store. Guests included: Pete Lagiovane, Mayor of Chambersburg; Paul Cullinane, VP Chamber of Commerce; William McLaughlin of the Chambersburg Boro Council; Dr. John Gray representing Letterkenny Army Depot, and Bob Thomas, County Commissioner.

In keeping with Wolf’s reputation for community involvement, Doug Wolf announced a charitable donation to give back to Chambersburg as thanks for welcoming the company to the area. On January 26th, a check for $1000 was presented to Women in Need, Inc., a charity that works within the community to obtain safety for victims of violence.

Although new to Chambersburg, Wolf Furniture has been around since 1902, and is still owned and operated by the Wolf Family. There are now ten showrooms in Pennsylvania and Maryland. Company headquarters are at 1620 N. Tuckahoe Street, Bellwood, Pennsylvania.
